I am not that Zenith-ish the last few years, but that has been different in the past. I loved the Zenith El Primero Rainbow and the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster! I also like the first model (1969) and the models from the 1970s. However, I cannot identify myself with the ‘new’ Zenith with that awful Thierry Nataf at the steering wheel. The current line of Zenith watches��is definately not my style.However, in the search for those older fine models, I bumped into a few nice scans posted by Bruno from Belgium in the Zenith Forum over at . I hope he doesn’t mind, but I copied them to my photohoster to post them here. To demonstrate that there were also nice Zenith watches in the past.This particular model is the Chronomaster, featuring the caliber 410 El Primero movement by Zenith. Three Watchmaking Feats Zenith's tourbillon, a complication - is combined with a chronograph caliber with a calendar �C another watchmaking complication �C and a high frequency beat, a third challenge. It is the only watch on the market with such a complex mechanism, aiming to attain the most precise chronometric performance possible. This tourbillon is unique in more than one way: it shows off its rotating carriage in the upper left-hand part of the dial, including a built-in calendar. The result is a tourbillon and a high-frequency automatic chronograph with over 50 hours of power reserve. Specifications: The case, in 18kt rose gold or in stainless steel, measures 44mm (39mm dial opening). It has double AR-coated sapphire crystals and is water resistant to 100 meters. Dials come in black sunray or silver sunray with Rhodium faceted hands covered in Superluminova SLN C1 or rose gold plate for the rose gold version. Movement is the Swiss automatic Zenith in-house El Primero caliber 4035D, with 25 jewels, 36,000 vph and a power reserve of 50 hours.
