Luxury watch maker TAG Heuer is not new to the precision of time with its luxury timepieces however the Swiss watchmaker owned by LVMH has a new claim on precision time keeping. TAG Heuer claims to be the first to master precision time keeping of one tenth of a second then one one hundredth of a second and now claims to be able to prodcue time to one one thousandth of a second according to a press statement issued by the company yesterday. The watch is very unique and it has two distinct balance wheels that allow it to have a very unique function for a luxury watch. According to a statement the wheels will 'allow for the full engagement of the stopwatch without interfering with the watch function. This core technology ensures less wear and tear of the mechanisms, and protects the longevity of the movement.' The first watch with this type of double wheel is set to be released shortly to the public. Also TAG Heuer is celebrating its 150th year in business this coming up year and plan to make 150 limited edition watches to commemorate the moment. There are reports that the watches will cost around $50,000 each but Tag Heuer is still very quiet on the details and design of its limited edition anniversary watches and is yet to make any official announcement regarding the anniversary.

The latest versions of the Movado 125 Collection bring the 125 theme right to the front of the watch. The collection, which celebrates Movado's 125 years of watches, has included other watches without numerals on the front but with the M125 info on the back. The new watches include a 40mm watch for men with a sapphire crystal and a Swiss quartz movement. and a 32mm women's version with a double-length leather strap each with the numbers 1, 2,5 on the front. I think I prefer the versions without numbers, they are more in line with the traditional Movado minimalism. The watches sell for $1,095 to $1,295 at Movado boutiques.
