There is not and there is no quartz inside the Mikrotimer. There is no battery, no electricity, it is only mechanical."TAG Heuer has illustrated the effect of 1/1000th of a second by stating that in that time, light can travel 300 kilometres and Usain Bolt managed just 1.2 centimetres of his world record 100 metre run.

The dial is equipped with two rotating systems with Cotes de Geneve treatments and diamond polished facets: seconds at 3 o'clock; chronograph minute at 9 o'clock.
