Swatch is launching on October 15th the new Swatch Chrono Automatic Collection. The Swatch Chrono Automatic Collection comprises five models offering rugged design and precision timing. Swatch has wrapped the Swatch look and feel around a new self-winding movement bringing chrono automatic performance to Swatch customers. Swatch uses an ETA Caliber C01.211, a fifteen-jewel, 3Hz movement with a 46 hour power reserve - not too shabby.The movement of the new Chrono Automatic is Swiss made and the new Swatch Chronos also show the date and are water-resistant to 30m.The Swatch Chrono Automatic Blunge (SVGK400G) you see in the photo has a price of $380. Models with a plastic strap sell for $370.This is of course an aggressive pricing for an automatic chronograph watch. Swatch is a watchmaker that has been creating unique and stylish watches for decades and until now, they continue to create their timepieces with their own style. One of the timepieces that they are presenting this year is shown above and called as Swatch GE216 Timespective.This new Swatch GE216 Timespective is considered to be a work of art rather as a timepiece because of the creativity that its design displays. This timepiece is made with simple materials including plastic which composes the case and the transparent cover that protects the dial. This case is also matched with a textile strap which seems to be a perfect fit. This case and bracelet, together with its dial, are designed with a collage of different dials from Swatch Watches which they highlighted with different colors. Aside from these, its dial also includes white crystals which serve as hour markers and adds appeal and stylishness to this timepiece.This Swatch GE216 Timespective is just one of the watches from Swatch's new collection for 2009.
