Swatch is a watchmaker that has been creating unique and stylish watches for decades and until now, they continue to create their timepieces with their own style. One of the timepieces that they are presenting this year is shown above and called as Swatch GE216 Timespective.This new Swatch GE216 Timespective is considered to be a work of art rather as a timepiece because of the creativity that its design displays. This timepiece is made with simple materials including plastic which composes the case and the transparent cover that protects the dial. This case is also matched with a textile strap which seems to be a perfect fit. This case and bracelet, together with its dial, are designed with a collage of different dials from Swatch Watches which they highlighted with different colors. Aside from these, its dial also includes white crystals which serve as hour markers and adds appeal and stylishness to this timepiece.This Swatch GE216 Timespective is just one of the watches from Swatch's new collection for 2009. Expect more to come in the following days or weeks.

Swatch watches founder Nicolas Hayek has continued to receive plaudits following his recent death.According to the Telegraph, Mr Hayek was a self-made man who made his billions after starting out with nothing.He was described as a "master of marketing" who possessed the "innate genius" of a showman and entrepreneur.The news*** commended him for coming up with a product that combined reliability, affordability and disposability."Fashion-conscious consumers could afford several Swatches, choosing which one to wear according to mood or occasion," it commented.Indeed, the Telegraph noted that Mr Hayek himself would frequently be seen wearing as many as four Swatch watches at the same time.The news*** added that about 300 new timepieces are rolled out by the company every year, many of which are phased out after only a few months.As a result, the deleted Swatch watches can become cult items that are highly collectable.Swatch itself has also commended Mr Hayek following his death earlier this week at the age of 82, hailing him for his "enormous contribution" to the Swiss wrist watch industry.
