A new Zenith timepiece may appeal to watch fans after a unique product, thanks to an original design feature.Called the Christophe Colomb, one of the key elements that instantly stands out on the face of this timepiece is a giant bubble near to the six o'clock position.Hodinkee reported that this feature sits on a "Cardan suspension", which is similar to the way that the compass of Christopher Columbus's ship was designed.The news source has described this element by noting: "The best position for an escapement is the horizontal position which ensures the best amplitude for the balance and on which gravity is perpendicular to the components and does not therefore disturb their rotation."Zenith, which has been in the watch*** industry since 1865, has also included a unique design to the rest of the dial, with the twelve o'clock position featuring the time, while other elements are displayed to the buyer at the three and nine o'clock locations.
