Seiko has announced that it will be launching its energy-saving Kinetic Perpetual watch as part of its Premier line of timepieces at Baselworld this March, it has been reported. Using the power of kinetic energy, Retail Jeweller revealed that the organisation's latest offering is able to consistently deliver the correct date, month and time even when leap years are approaching, all the way up to February 28th 2100. It was added that after 24 hours of inactivity, the hands of the Seiko watch will stop moving but the offering will stay accurate for up to four years as it is fully capable of automatically resetting to the exact time as soon as it is worn again and kinetic power is restored. Being demonstrated at Seiko's pavilion at the event in Switzerland next month, it is expected to cost £750.
