The optional personalizing of timepiece's melody rests in the hands of the buyer.The hand-made guilloche, created in Georges Brodbeck's workshop is placed on the plate below the regulator and on the minute and hour indicators over the dial.? The craftsman has highlighted the dial by creating a symphony of gradually increasing rounded angles and by subtly playing with the intellectualized detail. The rounded-triangular design touches require lines to create a perfect transition at 120 degrees and moreover three tool movements per pyramid to achieve this.The regulating unit's true luxury can be captured in the filigree hand applied guilloche and in the plate below the regulator embellished with the so-called: "clous de Paris" one of the many surprises of Sylva. Romain Jerome pleases its fans with its new originally-designed Steampunk watch. The timepiece will be available in a limited number of 2,012 pieces. The steel case of the Steampunk watch measures 50mm in diameter. The oxidized metal bezel secured by big claws contrasts nicely with the polished case and claws. The timepiece is 30-meter water-resistant.The "X" motif of the claws is echoed by screws on the dial. The screws are actually meant to make one think of steam engine pistons. The oversized Roman numerals at 12 and 6 o�clock demonstrate a scratched-up texture. The skeleton hour and minute hands have been inspired by the Titanic's anchor. The dial also catches the glance by the subsidiary seconds dial at 9 o�clock with a cool ship-propeller-like hand. The heart of the new Romain Jerome watch is a Swiss mechanical self-winding movement. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the 23-jewel movement offers 42 hours of power reserve.The new Romain Jerome Steampunk watch is secured to the wrist on a rubber strap fitted with a steel folding clasp.The timepiece price is 12,500 Swiss Francs.
