The brand's specialists used a number of materials, shades and finishings inspired by the car. The 43mm case of the new TAG Heuer watch is sculptured from titanium. It is characterized by light weight and demonstrates a sand-blasted finish. The face of the watch is framed by a black aluminum bezel featuring a tachymeter scale and "McLaren precision chronograph" inscription. The timepiece catches the glance by its orange, black, and white tones on the strap and dial, inspired by the MP4-12C featuring sporty showroom colors.The carbon fiber dial of the watch will make you think of a super car's speedometer. It is shielded by a smoked scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with double-antireflective coating. The dial features a partially skeletonized middle part, with the big date indicator and the chronograph sub-dials. The hours and minutes are indicated by polished black titanium carbide-coated hands provided with orange luminescent inserts for perfect readability under reduced-light conditions. The polished black PVD-coated chronograph minutes, chronograph seconds and small seconds hands feature orange tips. The perfect readability of the dial is further enhanced by hand-applied luminescent Arabic numerals.The heart of the new TAG Heuer Carrera watch is the Dubois Depraz calibre 4900 automatic flyback chronograph movement.
