Danica Patrick's victory in the Japan 300--the first female IndyCar winner in history-- is getting big play on Tissot's website. Patrick has been a brand ambassador to the Swiss watch company for three years and now Tissot is banking on cashing in on this connection by releasing the new PRC 100 DanicaPatrick Limited Edition. In a press release, Tissot President, Francois Thiebaud said: "Tissot is very proud of our extraordinary ambassador, the first womanever to capture victory in U.S. open-wheeled racing. Danica's momentous accomplishment and her flair for fashion deserve awatch to complement her."The women's watch has tapered rows of 27 top Wesselton diamonds arounda mother-of-pearl dial in an angular case and a case back engraved withDanica's signature, with either a stainless steel bracelet or whiterubber strap.

Tissot T-Navigator Automatic ChronographJust like the «ordinary» Tissot T-Navigator that we have already briefly reviewed today, the new Tissot T-Navigator automatic chronograph watch might have become a gorgeous aviator’s watch if not that PVD-treated bezel.On the other hand the new chronograph looks somewhat better than the simple three-hander.Thanks to so much white elements on its busy dial, the black and white bezel doesn’t seem so overcrowded and even makes the watch look more like an instrument from a real cockpit.Like the new Tissot Seastar 1000 automatic diving watch, the new T-Navigator chrono is powered by the new ETA caliber C01.211 self-winding movement.Although the caliber has some plastic parts in its structure, I didn’t hear about any problems with reliability. In fact, some pretty popular movements, like the now-discontinued Lemania 5100 caliber and earlier versions of ETA 7750 movement, had plastic parts in them and were considered robust and reliable.Well, time will tell.According to the Swiss watchmaker, the new timekeeper will be sold either on an impressive-looking, massive stainless steel bracelet or on a rubber strap and will retail at a pretty much affordable price of $1095 to $1150 USD.
