Porsche Design's big introduction this year at Baseworld was the P'6780 Diver. It was designed in cooperation with Eterna, and is based on the Eterna Kon Tiki Diver watch. The case is 46.8mm in diameter and has a water-resistance rating of 1,000 meters. A mechanical self-winding ETA 2892-A2 movement powers this timepiece. The watch housing is made of stainless steel and lifts out of a titanium bridge, on a hinge. This system is designed to prevent accidental crown adjustment or damage. The case of the watch is made of titanium and uses rubber finishing giving a more modern touch of design. The watch is available on a light gray shade and the matte color hints to a certain level of hardiness and resistance, the sapphire crystal coverage contributing also to this idea of a secured mechanism. The case is constructed as to resist not only accidental shocks, but also deep diving, as it provides a water resistance of 100 meters. At the nine o'clock position we can see a date window, which provides not only the current day, but also the previous and next day. The main technical feature of interest at this watch is represented by its dual-timezone function which is displayed at the 3 o'clock position. The time-zone function provides the time for 24 different cities, which are engraved on the case back of the Porsche Design Worldtimer watch. The new Porsche Design Worldtimer watch is available on a black rubber strap, *** a nice contrast between the matte gray used on the case and the black color from the strap.
