The new Jaeger LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica �� Grande Sonnerie, the world's most complicated wristwatch. What makes it so complicated? Its number of complications (also called functions). Here is a partial list: Westminster Chimes, Grande Sonnerie, Petit Sonnerie, silent mode, minute repeater, flying tourbillon, perpetual calendar, instantaneous jumping digital hours, minutes, days retrograde, months retrograde, date retrograde, display of the leap year, inertia blocking; tone power reserve, mainspring power reserve, time setting in steps of one hour and minute by one minute jumps, clockwise and counterclockwise. There are actually 26 in total.The Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie is powered by the Jaeger LeCoultre Calibre 182 movement, with 26 complications and over 1300 parts. The movement is housed in a 44mm by 15mm 18k white gold case. The last two "world's most complicated watches" were the Patek Philippe Calibre 89 which boasted 24 complications and cost $6 million, and the Franck Muller Aeternitas Mega that had 25 complications and cost $1 million. Soon these watches will be surpassed by the Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie and its many complications. If this is not complicated enough, then add in the other 29 complications from the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon and the Reverso a Tryptique - all three watches are included in this ultra exclusive collector's set. A 1800lb Doettling safe is also included. Retail is estimated to be around $2.5 million and only 30 sets will be available worldwide.

The concept of the Reverso model was originally developed in India in 1931 to meet English polo players' need for an unbreakable watch.Set in a reversible case, the elegant timepiece managed to survive the harsh trials of the competition. Moreover, the lucky owner could personalize it by engraving his initials, family crest or some motto on the dial-protecting shield.Today, almost 80 years later, Jaeger-LeCoultre is happy to bring forth its new Grande Reverso Ultra Thin watch, which pays tribute to the famous edition of 1931. The appealing novelty strikes the eye with its slender case, which appearance exudes classical simplicity. The new Jaeger-LeCoultre watch has been released in two case versions: steel and 18-carat pink gold. Dimensionally, it stands 46 mm in height and has a width of 27.5 mm as well as a thickness of 7.2 mm. The timepiece in question provides a "1000 Hours Control" indication, presented on its back. The water-resistance of the case is assured down to 3 bars. The interior life of the model is represented by a just 2.94 mm thick manufactory-made mechanical hand-wound movement - Calibre 822. Crafted, assembled and embellished by hand, it boasts 21 jewels. Composed of 134 parts, the movement runs at the rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour and supplies a 45-hour power reserve.The caliber 822 brings to life the basic functions of hours and minutes. For the new Grande Reverso Ultra Thin watch the brand's specialists have chosen a guilloche silvered dial, completed with stamped numerals and/or hour-markers.The audience will also enjoy limited-edition models. They come equipped either with a black dial with white hour-markers or a silvered dial with golden numerals and hour-markers.
