A new range of men's watches from Casio have been put forward as ideal presents for style-conscious guys.Writing for myGloss.com, Aly Walansky said she recently attended the launch of the Edifice Black Label line at the Tourneau TimeMachine store in New York.It was attended by Casio brand ambassador Bryan Greenberg - and Ms Walansky said it was an interesting evening in which she got to look at the products and chat to Greenberg, whom she described as "a real watch-lover".The actor told her he got his love of fashion watches when he bought a vintage Casio style in Japan and thinks they are "one of the best ways a man can accessorise".Ms Walansky said the Black Label watches would make a "fabulous" Christmas gift for any "special guy".People who like the look of the Black Label watches could also try other styles from the same brand, including the popular Casio Men's Edifice Digital and Analogue Blue Dial Sports Watch.

Fans of Casio watches may be interested to hear that the company has unveiled a prototype timepiece that uses Bluetooth technology.Although it is not being mass-produced yet, the black watch was available for technology aficionados to look at on Casio's stand at the Las Vegas International Consumer Electronics Show this week.It looks much like one of the brand's classic retro styles from the 1980s, but it has a Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) link function that allows it to be connected to a smartphone.The wearer can therefore receive texts and emails on their wrist, instead of having to fish around in a briefcase, without using up lots of power. In fact, it uses the same battery life as an ordinary timepiece."Now, Casio's application of BLE positions the company to create new possibilities for the way people use their watches," said a statement from the company.Last month, Casio revealed a new solar-powered Oceanus G-Shock watch in Japan.
