A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Thin in Rose Gold (Ref. 211.032)The German watch manufacture has updated its dressy Saxonia line with the new A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Thin (Ref. 211.032) hand wound watch in rose gold.Presented in a rose gold case 40.00 mm in diameter and only 5.90 mm in height, this is the thinnest timepiece in Lange’s whole product range.In fact, although clearly not the candidate for the title of the thinnest watch in the world, the new A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Thin has very few serious competitors, even among the major Swiss watch brands.For example, last year’s Vacheron Constantin Historique 1968 has a case of 5.00 mm in height, while the automatic-powered Piaget Altiplano is 5.25 mm thick.The Lange Saxonia Thin is animated by a new Caliber L093.1 hand-wound movement that comprises 167 parts, is 28.00 mm in diameter and only 2.90 mm in height. Meticulously decorated and assembled by hand, the movement is a real pleasure to look at.Like most affordable ultra-thin watches, the new Saxonia Thin features a simple solid silver dial with a pair of lancet-shaped hour and minute hands crafted from rose gold.The watch will be delivered on a hand-stitched chestnut-colored crocodile strap with a Lange prong buckle in solid rose gold.Price is not yet available.

Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Tourbillon watch belongs to the gorgeous Homage to F.A.Lange collection.Perfectly executed and decorated, the watch also features a unique L961.2 manufacture caliber with a one minute tourbillon with stop seconds function.As you probably know, all tourbillon watches have a serious disadvantage: due to their nature, these little pieces of technical marvel could not be stopped, making it impossible to set the watch to the second. Lange’s new invention, a stop seconds mechanism, successfully overcomes this flaw.Made in honey-colored hard-to-scratch gold, the watch will be available only in a limited lot of 150 pieces.
