Porsche Design's big introduction this year at Baseworld was the P'6780 Diver. It was designed in cooperation with Eterna, and is based on the Eterna Kon Tiki Diver watch. The case is 46.8mm in diameter and has a water-resistance rating of 1,000 meters. A mechanical self-winding ETA 2892-A2 movement powers this timepiece. The watch housing is made of stainless steel and lifts out of a titanium bridge, on a hinge. This system is designed to prevent accidental crown adjustment or damage. Porsche Design's latest addition is this automatic modular chronograph with a base ETA 2894 movement.The watch features a specially designed rotor made of titanium and black coated tungsten. The resulting design allows a view of the core components of the mechanical chronograph movement.The case, 40mm in diameter has double-sapphire crystals (top one with AR coating). It also features a screw-locked crown and case back, and a Tachometer scale complete the design. This chronograph is water resistant to 100 meters and is available with a caoutchouc (rubber) or titanium bracelet.3/6/03
