With Valentines Day coming up, here is a great collection of designer watches to please your woman. The line goes by the name -Miss Protocole Watches and is another genius collection by Piaget. One of the best watches out of the collection is an XL version with a white gold case and dial covered in 332 brilliant-cut diamonds (1.97 carats) with a turquoise-mauve butterfly motif resting on a flower. The entire collection features interchangeable straps and unique stylish designs. Each motif in the Miss Protocole XL was created using the champlev�� technique where an artistic engraver etches the design into solid gold while hollowing out the required areas.

In advance of SIHH 2011, Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget has revealed the Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra Thin, the thinnest such watch in the world.Perfectly at home in the slim mechanical watches arena, Piaget already boasts the world's thinnest manual-winding tourbillon (calibre 600P) and the world's thinnest self-winding movement (calibre 1208P) with micro-rotor.In fact, the manufacture's press materials introduce the new watch and in-house movement (calibre 1270P) by referencing the two previous calibres �C both in-house developments of course.Calibre 1270P is 5.5mm thick and the case of this Emperador Coussin model measures 10.4mm. The firm brought this watch to Singapore just to showcase it (the information was embargoed at the time) and we took the opportunity to take a closer look. Keen observers of Piaget’s aesthetic code over the years will immediately notice the contemporary styling, right down to the dial and the movement, heralding an important move for the brand.We shall have much more to say about the watch after the fair in Geneva.
