In advance of SIHH 2011, Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget has revealed the Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra Thin, the thinnest such watch in the world.Perfectly at home in the slim mechanical watches arena, Piaget already boasts the world's thinnest manual-winding tourbillon (calibre 600P) and the world's thinnest self-winding movement (calibre 1208P) with micro-rotor.In fact, the manufacture's press materials introduce the new watch and in-house movement (calibre 1270P) by referencing the two previous calibres �C both in-house developments of course.Calibre 1270P is 5.5mm thick and the case of this Emperador Coussin model measures 10.4mm. The firm brought this watch to Singapore just to showcase it (the information was embargoed at the time) and we took the opportunity to take a closer look.
