Watch maker Piaget has revealed three new timepieces to go with its Limelight collection, which could well appeal to women looking for an elegant model.Two of these timepieces are original designs from the company, offering a unique way of reading the time, while the third may look like many chronograph-style watches already on the market, but is backed up by a gem-set design, Watch Luxus has reported.None of the models have confirmed names yet, although the first in the new range has been donned as the "secret" watch due to the fact that it looks like a dazzling bracelet until a finger is pressed against a mechanism to reveal the time. Once read, the time display disappears behind an array of diamonds.The watch face can be seen on the second timepiece but it again suggests more of a jewellery accessory, complete with even more stunning diamonds, than that of a wristwatch. This is due to the fact that this part of the watch is almost hidden behind an open-zip display.Piaget has announced the new watches after recently been crowned with the best women's timepiece at the inaugural La Nuit de l'Horlogerie event in Monaco.

In advance of SIHH 2011, Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget has revealed the Piaget Emperador Coussin Tourbillon Automatic Ultra Thin, the thinnest such watch in the world.Perfectly at home in the slim mechanical watches arena, Piaget already boasts the world's thinnest manual-winding tourbillon (calibre 600P) and the world's thinnest self-winding movement (calibre 1208P) with micro-rotor.In fact, the manufacture's press materials introduce the new watch and in-house movement (calibre 1270P) by referencing the two previous calibres �C both in-house developments of course.Calibre 1270P is 5.5mm thick and the case of this Emperador Coussin model measures 10.4mm. The firm brought this watch to Singapore just to showcase it (the information was embargoed at the time) and we took the opportunity to take a closer look. Keen observers of Piaget’s aesthetic code over the years will immediately notice the contemporary styling, right down to the dial and the movement, heralding an important move for the brand.We shall have much more to say about the watch after the fair in Geneva.
