Known as the PAM00382, it is symbolic of all things pelagic, a piece so aquatic in appearance that you can almost sense the saltiness of the sea.? If King Neptune wore a watch then this would be it.If you know Panerai, then you’ll know this model, it has all the safety hardware – unidirectional rotating bezel with graduated scale for dive time, the outsize security brake lever-locked crown, the raised studs on the bezel.? Among them, one of my favourites, the Officine Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni – PAM00339.Officine Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni PAM00339Released in a limited edition of just 1000 examples, this Radiomir exudes classic Panerai simplicity, evoking the memory of early models and mounted on a vintage leather hand-stitched strap, yet it marks a new milestone in materials technology. The silky 47mm case is constructed in a remarkable composite, new to watch*** and developed by Panerai, which is harder than stainless steel, titanium and even conventional ceramics. This special edition piece features the Panerai Calibre OP XXVII hand wound movement based on a Minerva base.? The watchcase constructed from titanium is 47mm wide and is the instantly recognisable cushion shape.The very origins of the Radiomir are reproduced here to striking effect, for it is, in part, a tribute to the 1936 Radiomir prototype in that the dial of this Radiomir Titanium which, as with it’s unbranded predecessor,?is?also bereft of ?branding or text.?However, the?signature Panerai subsidiary seconds dial, located at the 9 o'clock position, and the distinctive?cushion case illustrate how the brand have remained true to it’s heritage to this day.

Officine Panerai introduces its new Radiomir 3 Days Platino - 47 mm watch. The novelty is inspired by the timepiece created by the brand at the end of the 1930s. The 1930s model featured a unique dial design and just two pieces of it are known. It hadn't been revived by the brand till the present day. The new Panerai watch features a brown dial shielded by a Plexiglas crystal. Instead of the characteristic large numerals displayed by the classic Panerai dial, it is completed with dot markers and alternating bar-shaped double or single hour markers. For perfect legibility, the dial is of a sandwich type. It is built from two superimposed discs. The upper disc is perforated, forming the hour markers. Panerai specialists are not sure about the origin of the dial as the brand's archive was destroyed by the Florence flood in 1966. They believe that the two examples left were created as test samples. The 47 mm Radiomir case is sculptured from platinum. It is 100-meter water-resistant. The case-back is fitted with a large sapphire crystal window that allows to drop a glance at the movement. The wire loop strap attachments are removable, so it is really easy to change the strap. The heart of new Panerai watch is the P.3000 calibre. The movement was designed and manufactured independently in the brand's workshops. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, the 160-part, 21-jewel movement offers a 3-day power-reserve as it incorporates two spring barrels. The Panerai Radiomir 3 Days Platino - 47 mm watch is secured to the wearer's wrist on a brown alligator strap fitted with a large white gold buckle.
