Mike Disher of Time Zone is at the SIHH show and is covering some of the new releases. Today we are looking at Panerai watches. I'm pretty immune to the charms of this brand but these are some lovely and *** watches.My favorite is the Radiomir 10 Days GMT in pink gold, PAM00273. It uses the Panerai calibre P.2003 movement and has a 45 mm diameter pink gold case with a "sandwich" dial and pink gold hands. The central hand with the arrow displays the second time zone. The edition of 250 pieces that will be available starting in August.The Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante, PAM00286 will be produced in a special limited edition of 500 pieces. It measures 44 mm in diameter and it houses Panerai calibre OP XVIII, an auto winder with column wheel created exclusively for Panerai. The watch will be available starting in May.This is Panerai's Radiomir Chronograph, ref. PAM00288. The movement is the Panerai Calibre OP XII with COSC certification in a Radiomir 45 mm case. The 700 piece edition will be available starting in August.The Radiomir Black Seal Ceramic, ref. PAM00292 has a case made of Zirconium Oxide. The movement is the Panerai Calibre OPXI which is COSC certified. 45 mm diameter, water resistant to 100 meters. The dial also has a torpedo in relief. The edition of 1000 pieces will be available starting in September.

A while ago, I posted about made out of the leather interior of this Mercedes-Benz 300SLR (owned by ). If you own a Panerai watch, you probably know all about this strap thing. I have seen them in all kinds of colors, materials (even elephant) and with all types of buckles and inscriptions.A very popular leather strap seems to be the ammo pouch strap. Yes, an ammo pouch. Below you’ll see one of a Russian soldier outfit from the early 20th century.I have seen some really nice models over at , and for a decent price as well. The straps made by are also very popular amongst world wide. I really like the vintage Swiss ammo pouch strap by Ted Su, as pictured below, but for 250 USD I would like to see it before I buy it.I have a couple of straps for my Panerai and a few of them are really stiff, which kinda annoys me after a full day of wear. It is great that has this special , this way owners of these non-OEM straps can exchange information and experiences. I also have good experiences with buying straps from , although they don’t seem to carry a lot of Ammo Pouch straps. However, they do have the famous straps The military pouch strap they have is quite nice though, see the picture below:You can get really caught up in this Panerai strap thing if you don’t watch out!
