Inspired by the Bauhaus Movement, the Museum dial was designed in 1947 by American artist Nathan George Horwitt.  This one-off piece is housed in a 37mm platinum case. It has double sapphire crystals and an alligator strap with an 18kt white gold buckle.The Museum Minute Repeater features a highly complicated hand-wind mechanical movement. When the slide lever, located at 9 o'clock, is activated, two tiny hammers strike the time: one to twelve clear bell tones will signal the appropriate hour. Then one, two or three tones sound to indicate the most recent quarter mark passed. Finally, one to fourteen identical, individual musical notes will chime to signal the precise minute. The train wheels and mainplate of the movement are circular-finished and the bridges are engraved with a "Côtes de Genève" finish.
