Villeret Grande Chronograph Regulator is the new timepiece created by the luxurious watchmaker Montblanc. This is a functional, refined and very sophisticated watch due to its technical characteristics. The local time is indicated by the hour hand made in skeleton style placed in the small circle at 12 o'clock. The home time is shown by the blued hour hand. Angular Momentum Montre a Guichet Guilloche in TitaniumThe renowned Swiss watchmaker has updated its Angular Momentum Montre a Guichet Guilloche line with a model in titanium.As the original model, this feather-light version is presented in a 39.5 mm case, which is now made of titanium.Instead of a usual sapphire crystal, the watch is equipped with a 925 sterling silver Medallion a Guichet cover with a psychedelic Guilloche “Soleil Inca” a la Main finishing.Since the sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, the medallion is available in four colors of gold, silver, Rhodium and even purple Ruthenium.To make the timepiece usable (no one wants a watch that doesn’t tell time, no matter how beautiful it is,) the Swiss watchmaker has done a pair of diamond cut apertures at 12 and 6 o’clock to display the revolving hours and minutes disks respectively.To be frank, the solution still looks a kind of helpless compared to the gorgeous A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk mechanical watch with jumping hours and minutes.However, a comfort time representation is not the watch’s main function. Like most fashion watches, this one is, too, more of a beautiful accessory, rather than a time teller.The Angular Momentum Montre a Guichet Guilloche Titanium watch is equipped with a modified Swiss Made hand-wound caliber that features a revolving time disks complication.Alas, the movement is not visible, since the case back features a Palladium-coated 925 sterling silver medallion and is skillfully engraved with foliage on the Titanium back.I must admit that the watch is so beautiful that even the over-sized 8 mm crown with a black Onyx cabochon in its middle doesn’t spoil the picture.
