Two new models have joined the ML Masterpiece collection. One is manual-wind the other automatic.The first one features the historic caliber Peseux 7046 created in 1968. This hand-wound movement is no longer manufactured today. It has the traditional balance wheel frequency of 21'600 bph. It features 17 jewels, blued steel screws, Incabloc shock protection, polished steel pallet and escapement wheel, Glucydur balance, Nivarox-1 balance spring, and a Nivaflex-1 main spring.The 40mm case can be had in steel or in steel/pink gold with an AR coated sapphire crystal, a screwed caseback with display back and offering water resistance of 50 meters.The dial is solid silver, with iridescent engraving, Roman or Arabic numerals and blued steel hands (hours/minutes/seconds).*Click for a larger image*The other one, is the Masterpiece Automatique which has a hand-decorated automatic movement, based on the ETA 2824-2 caliber with 25 jewels, blued steel screws, Incabloc shock protection, polished steel pallet and escapement wheel, Glucydur balance, Nivarox-1 balance spring, Nivaflex-1 main spring, and skeleton rotor.The 40mm case can be had in steel or in steel/pink gold with an AR coated sapphire crystal with screwed caseback and display back. Also featuring a moonphase complication the new Pontos Decentrique Phases de Lune speaks in a completely different design language with a strong German accent.Just like the other models in the Decentrique collection, the watch features an off-centered main dial moved in the north-west direction.What is really interesting about this watch is the time display interface. As you can see, the Maurice Lacroix Pontos Decentrique Phases de Lune has only one hand that displays minutes. Hours, date and moonphase indicators are displayed with three nicely decorated disks.This technical marvel has its price, though. The patent-pending ML122 in-house caliber takes so much space that it is packed inside a rather large 45 mm case, which is made of brushed titanium. Together with a black, sand-blasted three-dimensional dial, this model looks absolutely stunning.I wonder, how much Maurice Lacroix will ask for this piece.
