TweetEmailThere isn't a whole lot of information available on the new TechnoMarine ceramic ladies' watches, but here's what I know so far:Although TechnoMarine is not the first to create a ceramic watch, they are thefirst to add color. Apparently, the process of making a ceramic watch is such thatit's very tricky to add color, and therefore all previous ceramic watches havebeen white, black or gray. TechnoMarine has seemingly mastered the process, however,as they now offer some very cool looking new ladies' watches in blue, baby blue,pink, brown, black, white, and orange.This isn't ceramic like so many saucers we've all dropped and broken over theyears. These watches are constructed out of industrial strengthceramic formulated from a combination of two different types of metal powers, extremelyhigh temperatures, and very high pressure. The result is a substance that is apparentlyabout as hard as substances get (not counting diamonds), and is used to protectspacecraft from the massively high temperatures they experience while reenteringthe earth's atmosphere. If it's good enough for the Space Shuttle, it's probablygood enough for a chronograph. Both the case the band of these chronograph watches are ceramic, the crystal issapphire (no sense in having an indestructible watch with a wimpy crystal), themovement is ETA quartz, and you can either get a ceramic bezel, or one with 125diamonds imbedded in it. No word on where these watches will be available except "atselected stores only". Joining the brand's previous three stores in the "City of Light", the new boutique draws inspiration from the architectural concept of ancient palaces, cleverly accentuated by the design elements integral to the house of Bvlgari. The luxurious appointed Paris boutique covers 1,500 square meters on two floors, *** it the largest Bvlgari store in Europe. A special aspect is the "twin store" concept, which enables customers to enter through either the jewelry and watch side, or the one devoted to the latest Bvlgari accessory collections. Once inside, customers will find the central rotunda which merges the two sections.
