IWC has just introduced a limited edition skeleton version of their popular Portuguese timepiece. This limited edition timepiece was created as a tribute to the founder of IWC, F.A. Jones. The round Portuguese case is made of 18K rose gold or 950 Platinum. It is powered by a hand wound IWC Calibre 98910 movement, that allows precise adjustment of the escapement (due to a long index regulator). The movement has decorative elements based on the historical Jones caliber from the beginning of IWC. The movement and dial are fully hand skeletonized, creating not only a working timepiece, but also a work of art.The Portuguese F.A. We have seen this pilot watch from IWC several weeks ago but this one is a different version. This IWC Pilot's watch chronograph is inspired from a famous movie back in the 80s called "Top Gun".This version of IWC's Pilot's watch has a case made of ceramic which makes this watch very sturdy but lightweight. This also has an equally lightweight strap made of nylon. Aside from its impressive lightweight exterior, this watch also has a very impressive mechanical movement which is made to protect itself from magnetic fields. This watch has functions of hour, minutes, and seconds counter as well as a date and day indicator. The black dial of this watch is presented in black color accented with luminous hour markers and indexes as well as the hands. This watch also has the Top Gun logo engraved on the side of the case and on the case back.This Pilot Watch from IWC is not yet set to be released.
