The Hublot La Cl�� Du Temps watch meaning "the key of time" is a modern replica of the former version of La Clef du Temps watch that has a very unique movement able to speed up and slow down time. The time can be altered to run slower or faster, but always switched back to normal, so the name of the watch is the most suitable to mark this special functionality.The original La Clef du Temps was designed by Mathias Buttet and it was inspired by the Predator, while the dial should have looked like a brain. The La Clef du Temps belonged to Confrerie Horlongere under BNB Concept. When it had to face bankruptcy, the Confrerie was bought by Hublot. The same concept of controlling time took the shape of the new La Cl�� du Temps watch, a watch different from any other that the brand has ever created. This updated version is integrated in the Hublot Confrerie, the Hublot division for exclusive very high-end watches. The sophisticated watch features a more futuristic design than the original version and a new case to include the ingenious movement, as Hublot changed the format of the dial.But how the mechanism of this watch works so that it can alter time? Basically, using tourbillon based revolutionary movement and a speed selector. But let`s detail a little bit. It all begins with a vertically mounted tourbillon based movement (the tourbillion protrudes of the bottom area of the watch). The watch dial that indicates the time is on the upper right of the dial while a power reserve indicator is placed on the lower left. Above the indicator, there is the selector which can speed up or slow down the time. The crown on the left side of the Hublot La Cl�� Du Temps watch gives you the unique opportunity to alter the time as you wish, running it whether fast or slow. It is important to know that even if you can jiggle with time, the La Cl�� Du Temps stores the correct time, so you can easily return to “normal” mode. The Hublot La Cl�� Du Temps watch is in fact a metaphor about the concept of controlling time. Having it on your wrist can make pleasant moments last longer while for unpleasant ones time can run faster.
