Timepiece for Navy Rescue Pilots The S.A.R. Flieger-Chronograph was developed in collaboration with the rescue pilots from the German Navy. They were looking for a robust chronograph with an easy-to-read display which included a function for calculating flight speeds. It meets these requirements thanks to its extremely reliable fine regulation and specially designed chronograph functions with a highlighted 10-second scale. The case, in stainless steel, measures 44mm x 16mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal (2.5mm thick) and is water resistant to 100 meters. Movement is the Swiss made Muhle caliber MU9408 (base ETA 7750) with woodpecker neck regulation, Glashutte three-quarter plate, and Muhle rotor with characteristic surfaces finishes.

Just like any other pilot watches, this timepiece comes with a black dial that is highlighted with off white hour markers and white luminescent coated hands.Aside from its time indicator on the center, this watch also includes a perpetual calendar which includes a month and date indicator on the windows on the right hand side of the watch and a moon phase and day indicator on the left hand side. This timepiece also includes a leap year indicator found on the sub dial at 12 o'clock.This watch is indeed a very useful tool for the pilots nowadays.
