Hedi Slimane, famous artistic director of Dior Homme ready-to-wear fashion, designed Dior's first timepiece for men. The Chiffre Rouge Dior wristwatch is now on sale throughout the network of Dior Homme stores.The Dior Homme Chiffre Rouge incorporates the automatic mechanical movement "El Primero" by Zenith, the supposedly the most precise movement in the world. A tiny diamond is hidden on its reverse side.The date indicator is red for enhanced visibility. The winder crowns and the push-piece to reset the chronograph are in red ceramic. Not sure what the price of the Chiffre Rouge is. It is not mentioned in the LVMH (owner of Dior) news article.

Dior is everywhere from sweet-smelling perfumes, fashion accessories and of course, timepieces. The Dior Christal Mysterieuse was first seen during Baselworld 2009 where it was unveiled by Dior. I like the simplicity of the watch with only the abstract-pattern dials providing all the drama to the watch.The Dior Christal Mysterieuse has the Quinting Manufactured-sapphire crystal mysterious movement thanks to five talented engineers who spent ten million Swiss francs and seven years to complete the project. If you are familiar with Cinetic Art and Art Deco then you would easily recognize such inspiration when you see the watch design.The Dior Christal Mysterieuse has a stainless steel case measuring 44mm in diameter while its bezel has the original black sapphire inserts. The over-all appeal of the watch is heightened by the black alligator strap and the stainless steel ardillion buckle.I am not really into diving or taking my watch into deep waters but it is assuring to know that my watch is safe even if I get caught in the rain sometimes since it is water resistant by up to 50 meters. This is a limited edition watch so it is understandable that it is being sold at a mind-boggling 20,000 Euros.
