The people behind Casio watches have launched an initiative designedto prevent UK businesses wasting millions of pounds in operatingcosts.A new survey by the firm - which now produces a range of B2Bequipment as well as its traditional ladies and men's watches - has carried outresearch showing that ��100 million annually is spent on supportingand maintaining meeting room equipment.This equates to ��12,500 per year for the average company,Computer Business Review reports.Marketing spokesperson Nieve Cavanagh commented: "It's the sortof cost that flies under the radar and isn't visible to a company.We're trying to get companies to think twice about businesscosts."While managers could save money by upgrading their presentationroom equipment to more reliable pieces, they could also remindthemselves to turn off lights and appliances at night using alarmson Casio watches.The Casio G-Shock Men's Chronograph Digital Black Rubber Strap Watch(G-9100-1ER) could be a good choice, as the range is renownedfor its reliable alarms.

Casio watches are to be promoted to young women in India more heavily, the company has confirmed.According to sales and marketing head Kulbhushan Seth, Casio is not well-known for its range of ladies watches.As a result, it intends to step up the promotion of products such as its Baby-G series, reports Sify Finance."Times are changing and we feel it is changing for the better for us," Mr Seth commented.He added that consumers typically own several watches these days, as they have more disposable income to spend.Casio India hopes the upcoming promotional drive will boost its share in the watch market to ten per cent.The company's efforts to sell more Baby-G watches to girls may be aided by the fact various female celebrities have recently been seen wearing the timepieces.Australian guitarist Orianthi wears one in her new video, while Rihanna also sported a Baby-G watch in the promo film for her Rude Boy single.
