Fans of Casio watches have been getting the chance to check out new G-Shock models on the brand's Shock the World Tour.According to the Business Standard, the event reached Mumbai this month and saw a range of events put on to launch different styles and celebrate classic ones.'Father of G-Shock' Kikuo Ibe demonstrated the durability of the iconic timepiece by hitting it on a piece of boarding and letting viewers see it still ticking, while DJ Pearl entertained the crowds with great music.Model, actor and G-Shock wearer Milind Soman said he loves this kind of watch because it is really tough and "offers true value for money".He also praised the "wide range of vibrant, attractive designs with youthful colours".This comes after renowned photographer Alistair Guy told Men's Health magazine that his G-Shock reminds him of a camera, while its durability means he can get on with his work without worrying about it breaking.

A stylist has praised the G-Shock range from Casio watches for being able to withstand whatever is thrown at them.William Gilchrist, who has dressed stars from Jude Law to the Rolling Stones, told Men's Health magazine that he likes using good quality items and things that are well-made and does not think they should have to be treated with kid gloves.Commenting on the G-Shock, he said he likes the fact that it has a classic design but can also survive a hammering."Every day I wear it, every hammering it takes, it is just going to get better," Mr Gilchrist commented."That's a good design: it all still works but it's got a whole life behind it."Last month, OneIndia News said the colourful G-Shock would be perfect for people who are bored with their current fashion watches, as they will add glamour while also being extremely functional.
