Bidding will begin at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Dec. 30, 2010, and close at midnight January 15th, 2011. The 18-carat yellow gold timepiece is the same model as the one worn by New York Philharmonic Music Director Alan Gilbert. It is a 38mm, extra-thin Classique wristwatch which features a self-winding movement, silvered gold dial hand-engraved on a rose engine. It also has a sapphire caseback and is water-resistant up to 30m. Breguet, which has collaborated with many prestigious classical music institutions, is excited for this opportunity to support the School Partnership Program through the New York Philharmonic.
