The sub-dials are placed symmetrically, one at 9 o'clock for the small seconds, while the other located at the 3 o'clock position, indicating the chronograph minutes. We're talking here about a Lajoux-Perret 5000 Caliber, which is a hand-wound movement generating a power reserve of 42 hours.
